ATTENTION ALL CLUB MEMBERS
Bromley Common Cricket Club
was formed in 1889 (see
Club
History). The club currently
runs 4 Saturday teams (2 in the Kent Cricket League & 2 in the South
Thames Cricket League) and a Sunday team at adult level. A newly
established Cricket Committee oversees a structured approach to adult
cricket at BCCC.
At Junior level, the club has over 120 junior members and
numbers are growing rapidly. In 2010, the club plans to run 7 representative teams in the North
Kent Junior League for the first time (at U16,U15,U13,U11 levels), a Sunday Development
team and 5 Cup teams in cup
competitions at both regional and national levels. BCCC players
regularly feature in district, county and even national level
cricket.
In 2010, the coaching team at BCCC will consist of more ECB qualified coaches than at any other club
in the area, many of whom also play regularly in
our adult teams. All summer coaching and
all matches are now held at The Grove since the recent acquisition of a
second cricket pitch. Coaching continues in the winter at local indoor
net facilities.
Our ground at The Grove is
set in picturesque, tranquil surroundings. Club facilities include 2
cricket pitches, impressive outdoor nets, a clubhouse and ample parking.
The club's development plan includes further improvement to facilities
in the near future.
We have worked hard to obtain our Clubmark accreditation that is endorsed by
both Sport England and the England & Wales Cricket Board.
In 2008, we were awarded Focus Club status by the Kent
Cricket Board. We feel that this
demonstrates our long term commitment to safe, enjoyable and
successful cricket.
